IR HR Manager - Sellafield

ABOUT THE POSITION

The main purpose of the role is building the Industrial Relations strategy, improving processes and building relations between KAEFER management, union’s and clients.

Main responsibilities include;

  • Build relationships with site management, shop stewards, FTO’s and client IR Managers.
  • Attend project joint council meetings, when trade unions are also in attendance.
  • Consult with union officers on redundancy, changes in company policy, recruitment issues and Working Rule Agreement interpretation.
  • Be the point of contact for site managers on use of Working Rule Agreements.
  • Assist and mange grievance and disciplinary issues.
  • Main point of contact for Trade Union officers concerning company/employee issues.
  • Ensure commercial teams and site managers are aware of any changes in the Working Rule Agreements.
  • Proactively manage Industrial Relations on key KAEFER projects.
  • Responsible for responding to and driving business decision in the event of industrial disputes.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to relevant WRAs, SPAs and any other contracts.
  • Attend IRC and Site Council
  • Proactively engage with senior management in KAEFER to build credibility and confidence of IR Management.
  • Work alongside Business Development and KAEFER Management for future works and IR strategy for future works.
  • Point of contact for IR Management at other KAEFER sites and attend PJC where necessary.
  • Lead relationship/key negotiations with trade unions

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
