Project Manager - Sellafield


This role has a key link with the site based Operations Manager by delivering and supporting multi-disciplined projects in the most safe and cost effective manner. Ensuring any given project is delivered in a manner that meets or exceeds both KAEFER's and the Clients expectations, while maintaining KAEFER Ltd exemplary safety record while working on a complex Nuclear Facility.

Key duties and responsibilities;

>         Detailed oversight of cumulative schedule and cost performance for each individual project which must be accurately reported to the clients project managers weekly

>         Management of the KAEFER delivery team of technicians, supervisors and coordinators ensuring they work efficiently and effectively and safely in delivering the assigned work

>          Client relationship management ensuring the Clients representatives are satisfied with the ongoing KAEFER performance at the site

>          Continual review of discipline specific guidance regulations to ensure compliance.

>          Work to introduce innovative solutions to standard activities under the SIS framework to reduce labour intensive activities/ overall cost.

>          Work with the Operations Manager to reviewing Work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records.

>          Ensure that all site associated documentation is kept in line with company procedure for LTQR audit compliance. and checked and in line with requirements

>          Work with H.R/ I.R department to complete investigation/ disciplinary meetings documenting outcome as per company procedure.

>          Deal with persistent or serious breaches in performance standards in compliance with the KAEFER Disciplinary Procedure, seeking appropriate advice where necessary


Experience of;

>          Experience of delivering and working with Nuclear site-based disciplines

>          Working in heavy industry construction environment

>          NEBOSH Certificate in Construction

>          Project Managementqualified.(e.g. PMP)

Desirable Qualifications;

>          Willing to travel to other KAEFER Ltd operational sites throughout the UK

>          Strong People Management experience

>          Nuclear Security Clearance

>          Ability to organise own work effectively and efficiently, along with excellent communication and organisational skills
