Jaimie started her career with us as an Administrator, supporting site operations through payroll, requisitions, and general administrative tasks. She then moved into a Commercial Administrator and Apprentice role, where she contributed to pricing compensation events, managing risks, and contract administration, all while studying for her degree in Quantity Surveying.

Here’s what Jaimie had to say about her experience:

“Being able to study while working was hugely beneficial to my progression, as I could apply what I was learning in real time and develop my understanding in a practical environment.”

Today, Jaimie works as a Quantity Surveyor at Hinkley Point C, part of a small commercial team providing key project support. Her journey is a great example of the opportunities KAEFER offers for career growth and development.

“The journey from administration to becoming a QS has given me the opportunity to work with some incredibly talented professionals who have taught me a great deal along the way,” she adds.

At KAEFER UK & Ireland, we continue to invest in early careers and apprenticeships, helping people gain practical experience alongside their studies.

Some words of advice from Jaimie to current apprentices:

“Make the most of every opportunity to learn. Ask questions, get involved wherever you can, and don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. The experience you gain on the job, alongside your studies, is invaluable and will help shape your future career.”

Jaimie’s story reflects our commitment to nurturing talent and building long-term careers at KAEFER UK & Ireland.
