Josh Coe recognised for a proactive safety observation at Tilbury Green Power

A huge congratulations to Josh Coe, a KAEFER UK & Ireland employee at Tilbury Green Power, who has been recognised by our client WBOC for his proactive approach to safety on site.

Josh received a Safety Award and a £100 voucher from the client after he identified that a loading crane in the turbine hall needed to be isolated to prevent it from potentially striking scaffolding that had been erected nearby.

WBOC’s Operations Manager explained:

“I was particularly pleased with this observation, as many people may not have noticed the risk or taken the initiative to raise it with the Permit Office. As a result of Josh’s actions, the necessary isolations were applied and the crane can no longer be operated unintentionally.”

This recognition came as WBOC continued its safety campaign towards achieving five years without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) at Tilbury. The site teams celebrated this milestone journey with a BBQ on Wednesday 17th June.

Well done Josh, a great example of how looking out for each other helps keep everyone safe.
