KAEFER Sellafield Team Achieves RoSPA President’s Award For Sustained Safety Excellence

KAEFER UK & Ireland’s Sellafield team has been awarded the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) President’s Award, recognising 10 consecutive Gold Medal Awards for health and safety performance.

Based in West Cumbria, the award demonstrates KAEFER’s sustained commitment to maintaining robust health, safety and wellbeing standards across its Sellafield operations, supporting the safe delivery of complex nuclear decommissioning activities.

2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the RoSPA Awards, which began as a small initiative to recognise organisations prioritising workplace safety in the UK. Today, it is the world’s largest health and safety awards programme, attracting around 2,000 entries annually from organisations across nearly 60 countries.

Entrants to the awards are assessed by independent experts, with the application process requiring detailed evidence of health and safety management systems, leadership, workforce engagement, and continuous improvement.

Very well done to everyone involved for such a long and sustained period of excellent HSE performance. This recognition reflects the consistent focus and commitment shown by our teams at Sellafield over many years.
