KAEFER Sellafield has been named the winner of the Sellafield Ltd Contractors Safety Award for the second consecutive year – a testament to its sustained excellence and leadership in Environment, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S). 

The award, open to all main contractors and subcontractors operating across the Sellafield site, recognises outstanding performance in key areas critical to maintaining a safe and secure working environment. 

In their assessment, Sellafield Ltd’s Management of Contractors Department evaluated nominees against several high-level criteria, including: 

  • Organisational governance 

  • Risk identification and management 

  • Overall safety performance 

  • Workforce engagement and involvement 

  • Compliance with SL standards and expectations
