Scaffolding Apprentice Daisy is Smashing Stereotypes!
Training through SIMIAN LASC, Daisy is building a strong future for herself in a trade she once thought was out of reach.
Keith Beck, Access Supervisor / Coordinator for KAEFER UK & Ireland and Daisy’s Manager said: “From the moment I took Daisy over for her induction in January 2025, there was an instant interest from the client. Everyone was looking forward to seeing Daisy progress on site. Many of the NGLNG employees take time out to come and talk to Daisy – and vice versa, Daisy is always taking an interest in what everyone is working on! Since Daisy has been on site, her attitude, commitment and willingness to learn has been fantastic. Her two mentors, Wayne Smith and Kev Webb, are so proud of her – as am I! Long may it continue.”
Daisy explains: “I thought the work my dad did was above what I was capable of – especially as a young girl. But I’ve genuinely enjoyed every second. It’s been exciting, different, and exactly what I needed.”
