Supporting our community at Dunfermline Foodbank
At the end of October, a team of KAEFER and Shell volunteers from Shell FNGL Mossmorran spent an afternoon helping at the Dunfermline Foodbank – an organisation supporting thousands of local people through crisis each year.
Vicky, the Assistant Manager, shared how their 215 volunteers help to distribute food to five local community hubs. In 2024 alone, 8,800 emergency food parcels were delivered – including 3,300 for children.
Our team, supported a mix of tasks, including sorting and date-checking donated food, preparing Christmas presents for distribution, and helping tidy and organise the warehouse.
This builds on the ongoing support from David Taylor and the FNGL site team, whose monthly ‘lottery bingo’ initiative continues to fund deliveries for the foodbank.
A big thank you to everyone who took part – a brilliant example of teamwork, generosity and community spirit.
A huge thank you to the volunteers: Rob Anderson, Craig Milne, Steven Strathearn, Andy James, David Taylor, Scott Rankin, Joe Mainnie, Stuart Patterson, Emma Hancock, Connal Brown (Shell), and Pauline McGeevor (Shell)
