Yorkshire Air Museum Victor Bomber camouflage repaint
Victor XL232 Repaint
We’re proud to support the Yorkshire Air Museum in restoring the 1961 Victor Bomber, a key part of the UK’s defence history. But we’re even prouder of how our KAEFER teams came together to demonstrate our expertise in specialist access and industrial services by helping preserve heritage.
The Yorkshire Air Museum’s four-engine Handley Page Victor XL231 has received its first camouflage repaint in 40 years, replacing the same grey colours it has had since the mid-1980s. KAEFER is proud to have supplied the project with 10 tonnes of scaffolding that was used for four weeks onsite and three scaffolders over four days, ensuring everything was safe and ran smoothly.

Richard Llewellyn, Head of Operations at KAEFER UK & Ireland, commented:
“KAEFER UK & Ireland is proud to support the Yorkshire Air Museum in restoring the Handley Page Victor K.2 to its original combat colours. With our expertise in specialist access solutions and industrial services in the defence sector, we are well positioned to enable projects that preserve the UK’s heritage. It’s an honour to play a role in ensuring this historic aircraft can be appreciated for generations to come.”
The big reveal took place at an event at the Yorkshire Air Museum during June 2025.
We continuously ensure integrity and value when supporting the defence sector, and thank you to everyone involved.
