40 New Apprentice Positions to Support the Industrial Services Industry

KAEFER UK and Ireland has today announced 40 new apprentice roles to celebrate National Apprentice Week 2022, providing skilled workers to support the whole industrial services industry.

A range of positions will be made available at various KAEFER UK & Ireland sites and offices – from Business & Administration to Scaffolding, Insulation, Sheet Metal Work, and Painting: There is something to suit everyone.

“KAEFER has a long-standing commitment to develop our future workforce,“ said Laura Bowes, HR Director. “We are dedicated to attracting new talent into our business and welcome anyone with the drive to kickstart their career with us.”

By committing to our 2022 intake, our focus is not only to ensure the longevity of KAEFER but the sustainability of the industrial services industry, implementing the right skills for future generations. Having started my career as an entry level Scaffolder, I know personally how valuable these opportunities are in giving individuals an opening to a successful career in industrial services.

Chris Foulkes, CEO of KAEFER UK & Ireland

The new roles allow successful applicants to gain valuable experience, recieve a competitive wage and work towards a lifelong qualification.

KAEFER UK & Ireland recently announced ambitous plans to double the size of its business in five years through its LIFT2026 strategy. The strategy is focused on four key enablers for growth: People, Process, Customer and Brand. “Fundamental to the success of KAEFER is our people: building careers and opportunities for growth,“ said Laura. “By starting your career with KAEFER, we can grow together.“

The 15th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships will be taking place between 7th-13th February 2022. The theme for this year’s event is ‘build the future’; reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.

KAEFER UK & Ireland is a leading provider of technical industrial services, part of the global KAEFER group of companies. The KAEFER UK & Ireland team work on prestigious projects across the UK and Ireland including a recently announced £22m five ship deal with Babcock International Group to provide technical surface protection to the Royal Navy’s newest frigate, the Type 31.
