HSE Director, Phillipa Recchia, Announces Retirement

KAEFER UK & Ireland announces the retirement of HSE Director, Phillipa Recchia, effective from December 2025.

After a career dedicated to improving health, safety, and environmental standards across the industrial services sector, Philippa Recchia will retire from her role as HSE Director at KAEFER UK & Ireland at the end of 2025.

During her second spell with KAEFER, and her latest tenure, Philippa has played a pivotal role in embedding a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation, always with people at the heart of every policy, programme and procedure.

Under Phillipa’s leadership, KAEFER UK & Ireland has seen advancements in the Health, Safety and Environment Strategy, and the successful role out of our annual campaigns such as Safety Week, Strong Finish, Safe Start, all designed to drive awareness, improve performance and inspire teams to take action for their safety, and get home safe to what counts. As well as this, Phillipa has launched KAEFER UK & Ireland’s new Behavioural Safety Programme, helping to strengthen the company’s safety culture, and support KAEFER’s continued commitment to keeping every colleague safe, healthy, and heard.

Phillipa’s successor will be announced later this year, and Phillipa will support a managed transition to ensure continued momentum and stability in our HSE operations.

Commenting on her decision to retire, Phillipa said: “It’s been a privilege to serve as the HSE Director at KAEFER UK & Ireland. I’ve been proud to work alongside so many passionate and committed people, all working towards a shared goal – getting everyone home safe, every day. As I look ahead to retirement, I know the business is in strong hands with a lasting focus on safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.”

KAEFER UK & Ireland’s CEO, Chris Foulkes, shares his thoughts: “It has been a pleasure for our team to work with Phillipa for this time, and she has laid solid foundations for driving our HSE performance forward. Her vision and leadership have left an indelible mark on our organisation. We wish Phillipa well in her retirement and future pursuits.”
