An Interview with Sarah: Head Office Receptionist & DSA WorkFit Colleague

Sarah Scott is one of our Head Office Receptionists and a long-standing Down’s Syndrome Association WorkFit colleague here at KAEFER UK & Ireland!

Sarah has been part of the KAEFER team for just over four years now, bringing enthusiasm, creativity and teamwork to our Head Office in Jarrow. As part of our Down Syndrome Awareness Month celebrations, we wanted to revisit Sarah’s journey and see how she is getting on by asking a few questions.

What’s your favourite part of your job here, Sarah?

I like working as part of a team, especially with Julie. I enjoy creating power point presentations, working on the computer, franking the mail and greeting visitors. My favourite part of the job is carrying out the staff announcement over the tannoy, letting everyone know that the sandwich van has arrived.

What do you like about working with your team?

I have a great team and really enjoy the conversations we have at work. I always receive good support and help if I need it.

Can you tell me about something you’ve done at work, that makes you feel proud?

I really enjoyed putting together a power point presentation about myself and presenting it to all of the HR Team in the conference room.

What helps you to have a good day at work?

I enjoy my routine tasks like computer work, franking and logging mail. I like receiving clear instructions and help from Julie.

We ended with asking Sarah: Why do you think KAEFER is a good place to work?

I enjoy working with my team but also the staff in other departments, it feels like a second family working at KAEFER.

We are delighted to have Sarah working at KAEFER, representing what we stand for as a business, and we are extremely pleased that Sarah still enjoys working here so much.
