New EiiF study: The insulation contribution to decarbonise industry
EiiF insulation study 2021 analyses an energy savings potential in EU industry equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 10 million households.
In view of the challenge to achieve climate neutrality, the new EiiF study highlights the great savings potential of insulation of technical installation in industry and buildings. Upgrading insulation systems to energy efficient levels adds value and offers multiple benefits such as reduced annual greenhouse gas emissions by 40Mt and annual energy savings in industry of 14 Mtoe as well as lower energy consumption for plant operators and asset owners.
