TICA Annual Lunch & Awards 2025

On 9th October 2025, The Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (TICA) celebrated apprentices from organisations across the UK at their Annual Lunch and Awards Ceremony in London. KAEFER was lucky enough to have not one but two nominations in the running: 

• Taylor Whyte for the Rising Star Award 

• Ross Harrington for Apprentice of the Year 

With great pride Taylor won the Rising Star Award, saying about his achievement: 

“I was very proud of firstly being nominated never mind winning! It’s been a long process and a tough journey, but this has made it all worthwhile. It’s given me so much more to push for and achieve in my insulation career. Big thanks to Stuart and Christopher for sticking by me and for seeing something in me at times I couldn’t.” 

Taylor’s Line Manager Christopher O’Connell added: 

“Both myself and Stuart Daniels knew Taylor had it in him to go and be the best version of himself! GSK Irvine doesn’t normally get the recognition it deserves sometimes, being a smaller site in the KAEFER world, so Taylor winning this shows us as leaders in what we do.  I am very proud of Taylor, hopefully he goes on to bigger and better things throughout his career.” 

A massive well done to Ross Harrington too, who was runner up in the Apprentice of the Year category – a wonderful reflection of the hard work Ross put into his apprenticeship.
